Hiroshima--廣島の淚

It was a gloomy day on Thursday. We went to visit Hiroshima.
It's a deep scar of the human history.

Nara- 奈良の鹿

We went to visit the ancient capital city, Nara. Finally I saw the greatest wooden structured temple-- Todai-ji, which I just learned in my Eastern Asian art history class. Personally I loved the deer park better. The Bambis were just like angels in this old city.

Hikone Castle

After Peter's one-hour-long history lecture, our group were academically equipped to go visit this historical site-- Hikone Castle. The castle is seated on the top of a mountain, watching the whole town quietly. The castle is full of stories, and it is waiting its visitors to read them by observing and exploring.

First Sunday in Hikone

The weather is getting much warmer and nicer lately, which is very exciting for us. Hikone seems to be a very peaceful and lovely town, especially on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. There was an old gentleman who was shooting pictures of the sunset on the bank.He was very patient and quiet. He reminded me of my grandpa.
I loved spending the Sunday afternoon resting by Lake Biwa, reading or journaling while watching the sunset. :-)

the taste of Kyoto -京都の味

This is an city with a scent of history, aroma of old stories, and it is the dreamlike place that you would like to stay.

On Boy's Day (Feast of Banners) families raise the carp-shaped koinobori for their sons. The black one stands for dad; the red one is mom, and the little blue on is the son.

Lanterns in Yasaka Shrine, peaceful and gentle.

Cola, please~

The very first Japanese meal in a small ramen restaurant,
She's not yet ready for hot green tea or miso soup.
Wonder how the coke tastes in Asia, since they call it "cola";
Nothing much different, but the bottle is a bijou.
Attracted by the delicate outside packaging, let's all be bold to taste the inside, the REAL Japan!
